It's a fine time for management sim fans, what with the likes of Parkitect, Prison Architect, Parkasaurus, RimWorld, and Megaquarium all doing the rounds. And it's even better for medical sub-genre fans: the recent Two Point Hospital now has a new bedfellow in the form of Project Hospital.
Project Hospital was announced late last year, some time before Two Point Hospital's unveiling to the world. And while the latter game reached the finish line first, there's ample room for both given the notable difference in tone. Whereas Two Point Hospital opts for comedic ills and light-hearted strategising, Project Hospital has something closer to realism in mind.
In Project Hospital, you're once again tasked with building a hospital, and filling it with the facilities and staff needed to successfully examine, diagnose, and eventually operate on patients. However, the injuries and diseases you'll encounter, along with the required treatments, are all real, and there's far more granular control over proceedings; you can, for instance, create multi-storey hospitals, satisfy your architectural desires right down to individual wallpaper, or even dive deep into the sim, running the likes of your own ambulance service.
