The developer Bioware is busy preparing for their launch of Anthem for 2019, but it seems haven’t lost focus on their previous franchise Dragon Age and appear to be releasing some news in December.
Bioware Hints at Dragon Age News Coming in December
In the latest blog post that was posted on Bioware’s website the studio GM Casey Hudson gave an overall update of what’s happening with the developer in terms of projects. The majority of the post focused on the upcoming Anthem and the milestones they have been reaching, they also touched upon their other franchises. These include Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and how they each held their studio’s mission to “create worlds of adventure, conflict, and companionship that inspire you to become the hero of your story”.
In part of the post he talks about “secret Dragon Age stuff” that they will be revealed in December:
If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…)
What this particular news might entail is difficult to say, while Bioware have mentioned they’re still working on the IP in the past, there’s no way to tell what exactly they have in store for Dragon Age fans. Hudson will also be attending next week’s The Game Awards 2018 and with the recent news of more than 10 games to be announced, maybe this will be the platform they’ll use to share some news? The hint of “where to look” has definitely got us thinking.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is the latest entry in the franchise available to play on Playstation 4 and Xbox One as well as on PC.
