In today's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct, Sakurai-san revealed that the game will offer paid DLC which will bring new fighters, stages and music to the game. While the timing is still a bit up in the air for when the new content will begin, it is expected to be done and dusted by February 2020.

For $5.99, players can purchase one set, which includes a new playable fighter (not an Echo Fighter), a new stage and a variety of music tracks.
