Marking the last of the End of Year events for Elder Scrolls Online the New Life Festival bring bonus rewards and double XP for all who take part. Experience new quests, gain collectibles, earn achievements and more as 2018 comes to an end!

ESO New Life Festival Details

The New Life Festival starts this Thursday December 13th at 10:00am EST and will end on Wednesday December 2nd at 10:00am EST. This event will grant you tickets that can buy the last feather needed to obtain the Indrik mount so don’t miss out!

How to take part:

To join the celebration all you need to do is pick up a New Life Festival Scroll from the in-game Crown Store. This will help you find the New Life Herald called Breda who is positioned in the south of Windhelm in Eastmarch.

Players will need to located Breda to start their New Life Festival activities.

Meeting Breda will start the first quest called “The New Life Festival” which will then unlock daily quests (total of nine New Life Festival daily quests) that will take you all-over Tamriel. Completing this initial quest will grant places Breda’s Bottomless Mead Mug collectible which doesn’t just make you merry but gives you two hours of 100% XP boost. This can stack with all other XP bonuses that you might have going (including XP scrolls and ESO Plus membership).

Gift Boxes

No event would be complete without gaining some goodies and the New Life Festival is no different. Completing the Herald’s quests will gain a Festival Gift Box which will contain random house items, crafting mats, consumables, style items and a chance to gain some rather rewards too:

  • Skinchanger Motif chapters
  • New Life recipes
  • New Life collectibles (packaged in Runeboxes and tradeable):
    • Sword-Swallower’s Blade memento
    • Juggler’s Knives memento
    • Fire-Breather’s Torches memento
    • Mud Ball Pouch memento
    • Nordic Bather’s Towel costume
    • Colovian Filigreed Hood hat
    • Colovian Fur Hood hat
  • A selection of lights, lamps, and lanterns for your home to celebrate the Signal Fire Sprint
  • Draughts of Stealth and Escape to celebrate the Trial of Five-Clawed Guile

New Life Charity Writs

As a part of your gift box rewards you will receive writs. These are exclusive to the New Life event and will task you to create simple furnishing items to donate. Completing these new writs you then need to turn them in at any writ location for its item type. Don’t worry if you don’t have the recipe for the writ, you can visit the relevant crafting vendor to pick one up.

By completing 12 Charity Writs you will gain the sparkly achievement of “Newly Charitable”, this comes with a Crystalfrost skin.

Exclusive New Life Furnishings

From December 13th you can gain some exclusive furnishings by visting Heralda Garscroft, the Holiday Achievement Furnisher. She is located in Grahtwood, Stormhaven and Deshaan. You can unlock these by doing the following:

  • The New Life Bonfire – Available for 10,000 gold once you complete the “Snow Bare Plunge” achievement
  • The New Life Celebrant’s Standard – Available for 2,500 gold once you complete the “New Life Celebrant” achievement

Check the Achievement section of your Journal to review progress.

The Last Indrik Feather & More Rewards

This event will of course grant you Even Tickets that are needed to purchase the last Indrik Feather unlock the majestic Nascent Indrik mount, the Opaline Indrik Feather. You will also gain entry to the ESO Sweepstakes head here for more details.

You can earn only one ticket per day per account this time round and the reset will be at 1:00am EST every morning. Complete one New Life Festival daily quest to gain a ticket.

Head to the Impresario once you have gained your 10 Event Tickets to exchange them for the last feather. Impresario is located at the unique booth in Daggerfall in Glenubra, Davon’s Watch in Stonefalls and Vulkhel Guard in Auridon. There is maximum of 20 Event Tickets available during this event meaning you can gain more tickets if you need to catch up to buy a previous feather.

You will also be able to receive the Mysterious Reward Box which is the same as the Undaunted Celebration. These will contain more goodies that include chances to get rare styles and collectibles.

Festive Crown Store Items

If you’re wishing to show your festival spirit head to the crown store as there are definitely some items that won’t disappoint. You can purchase with crowns the Garland Dapple Gray mount, the Winter Broadbrim Hat Pack, the Sun’s Dusk Winter Hood and the Winter Scout’s Pack. There is the Enchanted Snow Globe Home will is just as magical as it sounds, you can also preview this home from the houses menu.

The New Life Festival begins this Thursday, December 13, at 10:00AM EST and will run until Wednesday, January 2, at 10:00AM EST.
