The 2D action RPG CrossCode has been announced by publisher Deck13 and developer Radical Fish to be releasing on the Nintendo Switch with some exclusive content, similar to the Playstation 4 version which is also coming in 2019.

Deck13 and Radical Fish Games announced that the 2D fast paced part-puzzle part shoot ’em up CrossCode is coming to the Switch this year. The title is a unique spin on the action-RPG that not only combines a MMORPG world setting in a single-player game, but brings fast action gameplay with some adventure and exploration.
Deck13 recently told Gematsu that they cannot currently confirm at this time if the CrossCode Playstation 4 version which is also scheduled for this year will have exclusive content but simply said “to keep an eye out on possible announcements at a future time (wink).”
I think this is fantastic news as I thoroughly enjoyed playing CrossCode on PC and would love to try out the quirky sci-fi adventure on the Nintendo Switch, as it would be a great complement to the game’s feel and gameplay. The added benefit of playing anywhere at anytime makes a lot of sense as this game is easy to pick up and play. If you’ve ever wanted to experience an MMORPG but in a single-player RPG game I would recommend trying this one out.

CrossCode will be available on the Nintendo Switch sometime this year, no news as of yet of the release window.
