You No Longer Need A Bethesda Account To Play DOOM and DOOM II On Switch

A "more permanent fix" is on the way.

Around the time of this year's QuakeCon, Bethesda announced DOOM, DOOM II and DOOM 3 would all be made available on the Switch eShop. Unfortunately, it all went to hell, when players discovered the original two games required a Bethesda.net login to play.

Bethesda quickly responded to the uproar via social media, explaining how the login requirement was included for its Slayers Club and was meant to be optional. Now, in the latest update, Bethesda has officially deployed a patch for the re-releases of DOOM and DOOM II on the Switch. It should resolve any issues you previously had:
