In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Sega's director of animation Yukio Kusumoto spoke about the animated shorts released for Sonic Mania and Team Sonic Racing.
Known officially as Sonic Mania Adventures and Team Sonic Racing: Overdrive, the plan is to now release more series like this for future Sonic games. Here's the full exchange:
