Earlier this week, football fans got quite a surprise when Bandai Namco announced it would be releasing Captain Tsubasa: Rise Of New Champions on the Nintendo Switch. If you didn't know, it's been ten whole years since the release of the last game, which is based on the manga series created by Yoichi Takahashi in 1981.
Did you know, though, that this new entry almost wasn't going to be localised in certain regions? In an interview with US Gamer yesterday, Bandai Namco director of brand marketing Dennis Lee revealed the Japanese publisher planned on an exclusive release in Latin America – mostly because of the popularity of the anime series in the region.
