In the Weekly Famitsu Magazine for the May 7th 2020 issue, which released in Japan on April 23rd, it showcases a list of upcoming announced games, with their release info. In that list is the upcoming Digimon Survive which had an unspecified release date, but turns out this a mistake.

The list also includes the already announced The Last of Us Part II getting an unspecified release date as well. Recently The Last of Us Part II got delayed, also with no exact release date or window. This title also gets the same unspecified launch date. The latest news on the official website was an introduction to characters. Bandai Namco have confirmed that Digimon Survive is still on track for 2020.

For a recap last year Bandai revealed an opening movie for Digimon Survive which follows the opening scene and the students who are about to embark on a field trip, which undoubtedly will be an adventurous one. Digimon Survive will follow the story of a group of teenagers, who get lost on a school camping trip. Taken to a world where monsters and danger ensue, they must fight together to survive. Mixing drama scenes with 3D visuals and battles in 2D, Digimon Survive takes on the classic SRPG style.

Digimon Survive plans to release in 2020. Outside Japan, the game will launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
