The Kickstarter campaign for Curse of the Sea Rats has officially ended. As you might recall, it achieved its original goal of €15,000 in just nine hours. So how did it wrap up? It absolutely smashed this goal in the end by 1600% - reaching all of its stretch goals. Thanks to the support of almost 6,000 backers, it has been able to secure €242,395 of funding (which roughly equates to $275,000).
This hand-drawn Metroidvania featuring 4-player local co-op multiplayer will now be released on multiple platforms - including the Nintendo Switch - in the first half of 2021. It includes five playable characters, special abilities to upgrade, 12 hours of gameplay for the main quest, and also features a survival mode, new game plus mode, and hardcore solo mode.
