The Definitive Edition Of Xenoblade Chronicles Won't Include Any Extras From The 3DS Port

No amiibo functionality...

Remember when the New Nintendo 3DS was originally released? At the time, to get some extra sales out of the system, Nintendo made certain content - and even games - exclusive to this particular unit. One title only playable on this device was Xenoblade Chronicles 3D.

This particular port included additional features like a Collection Mode (compatible with StreetPass) and amiibo support. If you were hoping these extras would somehow carry across to the upcoming release on Switch, unfortunately, this won't be happening. According to Siliconera, the Japanese website for the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition notes how these New 3DS features won't be included in the Switch remaster.
