PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition Retail Boxes Revealed

The retail boxes for both the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition have been revealed, and they give a glimpse of what two of the hottest items this holiday season will look like on store shelves and/or on your front door. The retail boxes were shown on the PS5 and PS5 Digitial Edition's Amazon listings, and they look very similar. The PS5's box is mostly white, and shows the console, the DualSense, and that this new next-gen system is capable of 8K, 4K/120 FPS, and HDR. 71QmyHaLyOL._SL1500_ The PS5 Digital Edition, on the other hand, will arrive in a mostly black box. The main differences are the lack of disc drive on the console, and the words "DISC-FREE Console" on the top right. 71w8Jjp+gqL._SL1500_ These boxes follow the unveiling of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S' retail boxes and the PlayStation 5 Showcase event that revealed the price and release date of the PS5, Final Fantasy XVI, the sequel to 2018's God of War, Hogwarts Legacy and so much more. For those interested in preordering the PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition, Sony has said that preorders would go live later today at select retailers. However, Walmart, Amazon, Gamestop, Target, and Best Buy have already opened them up early.
